Ms. Chantal Dugas
The "Gemme" of Diversity and Inclusion in Economy
A little about Chantal
Chantal holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a certificate in supervision from the École des hautes études commerciales.
Chantal joined Air Canada almost 23 years ago as a recruiter, before joining the Diversity team in 2000. During her career, she also headed up the Linguistic Affairs team. Supported by her exceptional team, Chantal has developed a strategic plan on diversity and inclusion and a linguistic action plan, in addition to supporting the various departments with their implementation within the company. She also supports programs and initiatives that foster cultural transformation, where promoting a culture of inclusion and respect is a priority. Finally, in 2020, the diversity and inclusion strategic plan and its implementation became Chantal's primary mandate, as the Company made it a higher priority in view of its future rebuilding.
Chantal also sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion. She is Chair of the Employment Equity Sub-Committee of the Federally Regulated Employers Transportation and Communications Association (FETCO), and a member of the Advisory Committee on Persons with Disabilities (CCPH) mandated by the Commission des partenariats du marché du travail for the province of Quebec.
