Our History
With the vision of promoting Francophone talents from here and elsewhere in order to promote their integration, as well as their personal, professional and economic development, La Passerelle-Intégration et Développement Économique (La Passerelle-I.D.É.) was created. 25 years later, the organization, which started with a modest budget, has built its notoriety nationally and internationally, and is recognized as a leader for its innovation, its performance capacity, its strategic links with various sectors and partners and its positions on issues affecting immigration and diversity issues.
Leonie Tchatat

Former commissioner at the Ontario Human Rights Commission, co-chair of the Call to Action Against Racism advisory committee that she founded in 2021, Ms. Leonie Tchatat played a key role in the development of initiatives marked by innovation and anchored on a deep knowledge of the issues of importance to inclusion, racism and the growing diversity of Ontario and Canadian society.

Graduate in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, teacher of Mathematics and Physical Sciences, certified in Business Administration, health system navigation and NPO governance, consultant and specialist in French-speaking services at the TAIBU Community Health Center and member of several organizations of civil society, Mr. Tchanaye is president of the Board of Directors of La Passerelle-IDÉ. and activist committed to the humanitarian cause.
